Adherents of the world’s major religions have urged UN climate conference attendees in Bangkok to renounce short-term gains and greed, calling the reversal of global warming a moral duty.
Meanwhile, the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation warned that climate change would cut food production and the Asian Development Bank predicted that global warming could lead to a surge of migration into the region’s already crowded cities.
